Technology your business can truly own
Seraph Peak is a founder-led software and infrastructure company based in Denver. We help growing organizations solve practical technology problems - from launching a faster website to deploying private AI and improving the systems their teams depend on.
Our work is designed to remain understandable, maintainable, and portable. Clients retain access to their code, data, documentation, and infrastructure, with ownership and handoff considered from the beginning.
William Patterson founded Seraph Peak Software in 2026 to give startups and small businesses a direct, practical technical partner - one that can solve the immediate problem without creating the next one.
Why Seraph Peak
Technology should make a business more capable, not more dependent. We start with the outcome a team needs and select the simplest responsible architecture for it. Sometimes that means a managed cloud service. Sometimes privacy, control, or long-term economics make owned infrastructure the better fit.
Either way, the goal is the same: reliable systems your team can understand, operate, and change without being trapped by a vendor or an undocumented implementation.
Where projects begin
Most clients come to us with one of three kinds of problems:
- Launch and grow: create or improve a marketing site, application, documentation system, content workflow, payment flow, or integration.
- Automate privately: build a knowledge assistant, support experience, or AI-enabled workflow with clear privacy boundaries and human oversight.
- Strengthen operations: improve identity, networks, security, email, monitoring, backups, recovery, or self-hosted services.
A project can stay focused on one result or expand as the foundation proves useful. We do not begin by asking you to replace your entire stack.
What working together looks like
- Discuss: clarify the problem, desired outcome, constraints, and current systems.
- Scope: agree on a useful first milestone and define what done means.
- Ship: deliver early, validate the result in practice, and keep progress visible.
- Support: refine, document, hand off, or continue with the next priority.
What clients keep
- Access: credentials and administrative control for the systems they depend on.
- Portability: code, data, and infrastructure that can move when requirements change.
- Documentation: a clear record of what exists, how it works, and how it is recovered.
- Visibility: explicit milestones, tradeoffs, costs, and responsibilities.
- A path forward: practical support or a clean handoff instead of artificial lock-in.
A pragmatic stance on infrastructure
We are not against the cloud, and we do not self-host by default. We compare managed cloud, hosted, and owned options using the full picture: delivery speed, privacy, reliability, maintenance, support, replacement, and long-term cost.
The right answer is the one that gives your organization the capabilities it needs with risks it understands and choices it can preserve.
